DROWNED IN LOVE

At the sound of his eloquent speech
And for the many times I faked sleepy moods
Just so that I could hear his sweet goodnight echo
Yeah, you’re right,,he’d hit my right spot
He wasn’t a celebrity kind of guy
Nor a six pack bodied man
That every girl would die for
He had given me a second thought on love
That it wasn’t about the looks or the pockets weight
But how he’d make me glow a zillion times
I wasn’t that kind who believed in fate
But the fact that he had shaped my destiny made it feel right
I would brag of how his voice drives me insane
Sadly… achana nayee…were the words I always got afterwards
Those were the kind of words that love didn’t wanna hear
And the fact that I had fallen for a drunkard couldn’t make me think twice
