He represents Gotham City, from The Pines dance crew. Born in the coast and Kenyatta High school alumni. He draws his inspiration from Rayvanny and his brother Vitalis . In this segment, we get upclose with Liam Khalitrinque, a dancer who once had a dream of becoming a ship captain!
TYM: Give a brief description about yourself
Khalitrinque: I’m a simple guy raised in coast, 21 year old student at Multimedia University.
TYM: what does dancing mean to you?
Khalitrinque: Dance is me. Its my hustle and passion. When dancing is the only time I forget all my stresses.
TYM: what is the best thing that happened to you this year?
Khalitrinque: Best thing this year is that I got a gig to work with soko ugali together with my crew.
TYM: Apart from dancing, what else do you do?
Khalitrinque: I’m a writer, singer and a rapper. I’m passionate about film and videography and I’m also into fashion.
TYM: Do girls go gaga when you are on stage?
Khalitrinque: Of course, dancers are the best perfomers so yeah, girls go crazy when am on stage. They keep on shouting my name “LIAM.”
TYM: what was your dream career?
Khalitrinque: I once had a dream of becoming a ship captain, that changed because i was not good in physics at all, like at all.
TYM: Advice to any upcoming dancer
Khalitrinque: Maisha ni foleni na kila mtu ana wakati wake kwaivo patience is everything, also putting God in everything you do will make you a big fish outhere. Talent is only 20% but discipline is 80% if you want to make it.
TYM: If you were to pass one message to whoever it might concern, what would it be?
Khalitrinque: Dancers play a major roll in the entertainment industry but we are not respected as the artists do. So my request is that dancer be treated as artistes
