He is a self-made turntable mix master. His daily routine on the menu is made up of his fingers flashing from hits to hits adding effects and balancing the tempos. We get to dig into the insights of Deejaying with Dj Hashtag Kenya.

T.Y.M :Welcome to T.Y.M,so tell us what is your Deejaying name?

DJ Hashtag : I go by the name DJ Hashtag Kenya.

T.Y.M : So how and when did you start deejaying?

DJ Hashtag : I taught myself after i saw my friend deejaying at a house party.(Laughing)I really cant recall when i started deejaying.

T.Y.M :Who is your biggest inspiration or the person who you respect alot?

DJ Hashtag : DJ Joe Mfalme,the guy inspires me alot,i also respect him.

T.Y.M : And what single night out has been the most memorable for you? As a DJ? As an attendee?

DJ Hashtag : I attended a club mixing and the place was very full.

T.Y.M : What is one mistake you see a lot of up and coming DJs making? / What advice would you give to aspiring DJs?

DJ Hashtag : They don’t know how to blend music, but a word for aspiring DJs, deejaying takes time,it requires practice and lots of hard work.

T.Y.M :Which is that one subgenre you think doesn’t get the attention it deserves?

DJ Hashtag : Dancehall,Raggaton.

T.Y.M : Which is one track that never gets old for you no matter how many times you hear it?

DJ Hashtag : (Laughing)The famous Dundaing’,the track sounds so dope.
