We all have seen scenarios online where victims fall in the hands of cyberbullies and many end up broken with a ruined reputation.

www.stopbullying.gov defines cyber-bullying as ” bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, and tablets. Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text, and apps, or online in social media, forums, or gaming where people can view, participate in, or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. It can include sharing personal or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the line into unlawful or criminal behavior.”

A story is told of a man based in Rongai who found himself in hot soup after he went about insulting a university student unprintable insults after a failed blackmail attempt and unsuccessfully soliciting intimacy from the student. The traumatized student consulted her lawyer and filed a criminal complaint against the suspect. In what was likely to be a national case attracting women rights advocacy organizations such as FIDA, this case was certainly going to generate a lot of interest.

The suspect was released on police bond pending formal arraignment in Court. This is an important case which should serve as a warning to morally bankrupt netizens with no respect.

“Computers and the Internet have made our lives easier in many ways, it is unfortunate that people also use these technologies to take advantage of others. Therefore, it is smart to protect yourself by using antivirus and spyware blocking software and being careful where you enter your personal information” says TechTerms

Cyberbulling affects the victims everyday lives and is a constant source of distress and worry. Their self esteem tends to cease due to the fact that these bullies are mostly thorough and know where to hit. The fact that many just close their social media accounts doesn’t demean the fact that the effects have already been instilled in them and hard to let go. Most victims end up commiting suicide while others quit careers, all caused by these ruthless online scums.

It’s about time we all think twice before reacting to someone’s post or pictures etc. Cyberbulling should not be ignored as many of us do. Feel free to report to the nearest local authority. We all must all join hands together to stop cyberbulling!

It’s nothing short of surprise when it comes to the recent news hitting the airwaves. Makes one wonder what happened to humanity. You know, that piece of one’s soul that pulls them back every time one feels like doing something stupid. Where has it gone really? Fathers unleashing their perverted minds towards their daughters, and I’ve also seen grandfathers have joined the evil congregation.

The worst part of all these is the fact that it’s happening in our midst and nothing is done, literally nothing! Domestic violence has been rampant these days, not to say it wasn’t there before, but the level at which the cases are rising is too high for our minds to grasp. Women beaten, chased away from their homes just because the man can’t take the pressure. Men running from their homes, lest they be demoralized by these women due to the fact that they can’t provide as they used to. These mere facts lead to fights I’d rather not fathom. Humanity has been lost, replaced by iniquitous evils that only the Man above can save us from.

Larceny is nothing new when it comes to our leaders, looting from us since independence. I was watching the news the other day and I was amazed by the fact that the money that was allocated for the youth, commonly referred to as “Kazi Mtaani”, is missing. This makes one wonder where that money went to. Do we blame the officials or the government? The young men and women have been toiling all over the streets cleaning up and now no pay is to come their way?

I feel it from deep within. The fact that their sweat is sponsoring some Trump wannabes to vacations in Dubai and all is just disheartening. What to do though? The anticorruption agencies seem to have fallen into dormancy. Proprietors walking away freely due to lack of “evidence”
Welcome to Kenya. A land of many opportunities, they say.

In the society we live in, one has to know someone who knows someone, also known as the “Godfather mentality”, to survive. For one to get a job let alone getting one’s own hard earned money, the Godfather must exist. This is the society we all have to survive in.

Money and power relate completely. You bear me witness that without the so called links one is doomed in most parts of this country. ” Unajua kijana wangu anamaliza next year, nataka kukuletea yeye hapa msaidiane.” Such phrases run our companies and government organizations. Where knowing each other is the perfect qualification compared to any level of education one has.

What do we do now as Kenyans? One protest and teargases will have all for company the moment we hit the streets. Jobless youths all over, crying for support from the government. Which government? We have to live with the harsh reality. A university graduate with first class honors for a certificate selling “njugu karanga” on the highway. Where are we heading?

It’s the nation we live in, the poor stay poor as the rich swim on bills running their way. We have to live with it! Or what would your advice be, fellow Kenyan? Will you be satisfied by the “fellow Kenyans” phrase till you succumb to extreme poverty and molestations? Feel free to leave it on the comment section.

Prayer partner,

I felt like scribbling down these words just to get some ease in my heart. Do I really miss you? Not really. Do I still love you, of course not. It was one hell of a ride we had, sadly it had to come to an end. We had different ambitions and different dreams. We just couldn’t cruise through this journey together so we choose to call it off. I smile every time I remember all the prayer sessions we had, all night long and waking up at five for revivals till we got satisfied. Prayers right?

I remember the first day we met,you were arguing with the conductor enroute to Rongai” Ebu wewe nirudishie change yangu, hiyo 10 bob inaeza nunua avocado” That got me laughing,we had mutual feelings towards avocados. I approached you with a smile criss crossing my face ready to astound you with lines you’ve never heard of. Only for you to turn me down with the “huezani kijana” line and I promised myself that I’ll fish in your pod no matter how long it took me. I stalked and nagged you till you had no choice but to give me your number. Did you ignore me? Of course you did, not counting the endless greyticks you gave me before you decided to reply with a simple hae.

Well, I played my cards right and you ended up warming everything I had,my bed of course, we couldn’t get enough of each other, talk about lust right. Two weeks passed by and the ‘I love you’s’ started flowing in. We religiously worshipped evening walks and muturas, casually laughing and pecking every chance we got, mahn you had me for sure. How quickly we forgot that, I don’t know, you just saw my homie Mike driving a Subaru and everything came falling down. This was a side of you I wished you had kept under the wraps. Didn’t you tell me you weren’t materialistic? Syke(laughing).

It’s all okay, I don’t hold grudges remember, I let shit slide and forget. I’m surely forgetting you don’t you worry about that. I’m good by the way,got myself a queen, too bad she ain’t into muturas but I’m so fond of bajhias now. I drove past you last week, did Mike get rid of his car or something? The amount of dust on your shoes told me so and yeah, I’m driving now, super right? I’m not bragging but I wish you were patient with me. What do we do though, what’s done’s done, moving on is the only option. Good luck ahead, Slay till infinity.

Yours truly, Nthiga.

Entanglement, are you smiling reading this? This takes us back to the red table talk hosted by Jada Pinkett. Jada was explaining to her husband, Will, what happened between her and RnB artist August Alsina. She went ahead and called their relationship an entanglement. I’m sure none of us had any idea what an entanglement was but the memes circling around on social media got you covered. Which leaves us with this question What is an entanglement type of relationship really?

Wikipedia says, If you’re feeling drained with your partner, you’re likely caught up in an entanglement. In a harmonious relationship where both people take responsibility for any issues that arise, and they come up with creative solutions that further add to the positive feelings they share. August also refers to it as a tangle in the sheets, funny right? I see y’all faces, guilty. Let’s try and focus on Augusts defination, he knows better.

You see her every day at school, too afraid to talk to her let alone ask for her number. She’s gorgeous yes but you still stare, imagining the million ways in which you can twist and turn her if only you got the chance. You know too well she has a hunk for herself but you let go of amazing relationships in hopes of nailing her one day, Entanglement!

Sister, he buys you everything you want in life, you just have to name it. Takes you for vacations and cruises just to name a few. You are just there knowing he’s the one, jackpot hit. Do you know any of his family members? Do you know any of his friends? Do you know where he lives? Does he talk if any future plans with you? Entanglement!

My point is, we all are tangling out here. It mustn’t be just about sex or anything for you to term it as an entanglement, no, it’s all about the type of the relationships we have. I go for DTR (Defining The Relationship) open up, tell him or her all about you and ensure that you know what you about to get into. Let’s stop the tangles and focus on love.

Gospel hip hop has graced the charts over the years and still doing so as the spread of God’s word through rap continues. We catch up with Ugandan gospel hip-hop sensation, Waade, as he shares his journey.

Tell us briefly about yourself

My name is Segujja Brian, a Ugandan  hip hop Artist/producer who goes by the stage name  “Waade”. I am a servant of God and I’ve been since late  2009 as a hobby and ministry.

What does music mean to you?

Music means life to me. I can’t skip a day without doing anything that  involves music. I love the creative part of it. Watching music and being in studio rounds up a day in my life.I use it to tell my stories, Good News about the Christ and other people’s stories too.

There are instances when gospel artists get tempted to start singing secular songs, have you ever been in that situation?

Yes. That has happened to me a lot, I won’t lie . Even when I know that it’s not the  right decision to make. Sometimes I’m moved by the success my  peers are attaining doing secular music.
You know, we all want that good life, sometimes we get tempted by the temporary things but then my thoughts click and I remember my purpose on Earth. I end up  switching back to the right path.

What inspired you to start singing?

You mean rapping? Oh yeah, I  actually was inspired by a lot of music from secular rappers. From the likes of Wayne to Nas etc .
Until I discovered christian rap  from rappers like Lecrae, Trip Lee , Verbs, TBone, Kirk Franklin, Kj52  the list is endless. What inspired me the most  though is their ability to tell stories, empower lives, spread their faith through rythm, art and poetry.

Artists like Lecrae hit collabos with secular artists, what’s your take on that?

A collaboration with any artist would be great yeah but it depends on what effect it’s going to  cause in the society.  Is it going to impose a negative or positive effect on my career? If the collaboration is going to help me tap into another bigger audience and the other artist’s mission is to make Christ famous or take the gospel where it’s needed most then I would do it because it’s worth doing. If also the collaboration is going to follow certain guidelines as laid by the collaborators. For me, no use of curse words, no use of images that degrade women and no use of drugs etc. Like I said, it all depends on the collaborators.

How would you describe gospel hip hop?

Gospel hip hop is a subgenre of hip hop that many people call Christian hip hop. It’s hip hop music with evangelism content. Music that talks about Christ, God and basically christian life .etc

What else do you do apart from music?

I’m a free lancer business man.

Which of your songs is your favourite?

That’s a hard question man.I actually love all the  current songs on my ” Pest Control Album”. They are all my favorite. however, I love a song/ songs  called “God Loves You”  & ” Rapture”  because they both talk about the end times.

If you were to do a collabo with one kenyan artist, whom would it be?

Yoooh! Eko Dyda is the man, with no doubt.

Tell us about nga yesu. What inspired the song? Did it give you a hard time writing it?

Nga Yesu ,is a song directing people and believers of Christ to act like Jesus , walk like Jesus.
It’s a contemporary rap song fused with dancehall and hip hop beats, something that will make you dance and educate you at the same time .
80% of the song is in my native language, Luganda. The remaining percentage is in English. The song is produced by my friend Dero Pan and I.

What inspired the song ?

Actually, I wrote this song basing it on my life. There is a point and time in life where I thought I should live, walk and act like Jesus.
Being human I’m imperfect, but I admire Jesus so much. So this song I wrote it to talk to myself, to remind me how I should move in this world as a Christian.

Did it give me hard time ?
No , well I had to think about what I should tell myself and people who will listen to it first. So I wrote it in few hours ,like 1 or 2 to be exact.

The beat production took me a few hours as well. Well, all I can say is that I enjoyed the process of making it.

Advice to anyone aspiring to venture into gospel hip hop?

Gospel hip hop is great but patience is the key. We are not of the world, so it will be hard or it will take time for the people of the world to understand you. Patience is the key and don’t expect quick returns from your investments.
God rewards gradually and accordingly. That’s why I’m still patient with it.

Dear Jack, It has officially been two years since we broke up. To say I don’t think of you would be the largest lie I have ever told. I think of you a lot. From time to time I miss you a lot. Sometime I think I fantasize or put rose coloured glasses on when remembering our relationship. I mean I do think we had an unreal connection like I have never had before but I think I gave way to much and you took way to much.

We were both at different points in our lives and I think you were a lot more lost than I was. I mean considering you were partying every night, staying up till the morning, and than sleeping all day… But this is not a letter to reminisce about the past… I am not really sure what it is about… I think it’s maybe that I am still not over it.

I still have things to say. I am still broken hearted over you, Jack. I can’t move on- I compare everyone new to you.. Why? I don’t have an answer… I am Jack’s broken heart… After our break up I moved… It was pretty drastic but I got my life together.. got it back on track. I came home and I wanted to tell you all about my experience. Tell you about how I had changed. Tell you about all things I realized I liked about the world and myself that I did not let before. I wanted to share these with you but I knew I couldn’t. It just wasn’t the reality at the time. It has been eight months since I have returned home, and I have yet to see you.

Talk about faith eh? I wish that I would run into you so that I could see you and we could talk or maybe to see you and burst the balloon of an idea that is in my head of how I feel about you. I have created so many ideas in my head about how you have changed and how we would benefit from each other now but the reality is I am uncertain of any of those things. I think if I saw you it would just all make sense- either I’d know it was still you or I’d know it was all a figment of my imagination. I guess if you ever read this letter I would want you to know I am sorry for hurting you and I forgive you for hurting me.

Yes, I still think of you and you hold a special place in my heart. Am I over you? I am not sure. Do I miss you- 100%. I wish we would bump into each other and reconnect- or you’d reach out to me one last time but I guess even though I want those things and I have forgiven you I don’t know if the damage done to what we created as ‘us’ would ever be fixable… I just wish you well Jack. I hope you find what you love and you get to have a house, a dog, and that family you always wanted. I also hope that you STOP and love yourself before the next relationship. That way you don’t cheat, and you are able to love and treat that girl the way she deserves. I miss you Jack. I’ll always love you.

It’s Thursday folks, which means it’s a day I leave your ribs cracking but not today. Today we are focusing on helping out our sisters on how to relate and know a casanova before their hearts get torn into pieces.
All you Ladies have been sprawling around crying after breakups little did you know you fell into the so called casanova trap. There are men,men and men. I, a man, feel irritated by the fact that these so called cool kids tend to ruin our good reputation among women. I believe it’s time we tackle this and let them girls know who these type of men are.

To a playboy, nothing is exact. You should expect a lot of surprises that are not really positive or thrilling when you are dating a playboy. Though you could know these things already if you are in a relationship with one. Nothing is ever certain when it comes to these type of men. He caters for you and can be charming and sweet enough to be there for you but commitment can be as scary to him as death is to anyone. Nothing is certain with him. Nothing!

They tend to put you on the edge every now and then, If the playboy is a skilled one, they will groom you to be the crazy one. They simply keep you on your toes and proactive enough to protect the title of being their girlfriend. This actually happens alot but y’all should know,
you are not the only one and you will never be the only one. What I mean to say is,never feel too comfortable with the role of being their girlfriend. Since at the end of the day there is a strong chance you are not the only one or won’t be.

Once you love them and continue dating them,It is always so hard to let go. Being a girlfriend to a playboy makes you silently committed to him. This is because it is always so hard to walk away when you know your space will be filled immediately when you depart. You need to know that the man is the ideal flirt. You would know he is a playboy when he is with other women. How does he act with them around? Does he flirt with them simply to receive attention from them?

Sex is the theme of your relationship. From the first date to yesterday, it is more about the sex rather than other elements of a serious relationship. It is never about verbal communication or plans about how your relationship will become more progressive. They are more into the the coochie than you.
A play boy is never willing to show you to his friends or family. It is just you and him. He is not about you seeing other members of his family or intimate friends. He just wants to keep it casual. He doesn’t even want to meet your friends or family too.

Trust you me when I say this but you have a good looking man with you. He is charming not only to you but to everyone. He wants to be on top of his game and that means he has to constantly keep in shape, he doesn’t mind if this means he has to go to the gym every now and then.
You also
have an insecure man with you
Your relationship with him is not constant or solid. Actually he is always mysterious about personal things. You would rarely have him tell you about his dreams, aspirations or insecurities. They are just protective about personal data. He wouldn’t want you to use these things against him at some point.

He is not spending lots of money on you. The KFC’s and all are just a mystery to him. When you are in a relationship with a play boy you can expect some nice things but this will never go overboard. They tend to have the ideal script of using some money to lure you in, but this is never extensive.

There is no clarity in the relationship. The relationship can be vague and mysterious. He is never giving you every detail about his whereabouts or what he is up to when he is not with you.
Birds of the same feather flock together right? All his friends are playboys. Don’t think you are stuck with a gentleman when your man has friends and buddies who are always talking about women and hooking up every now and then. Playboys hang around other playboys, period.

Buckle up because this a ride y’all women tend to avoid but you need to walk away before it all goes astray. Stay happy sister.

“Welcome Brother Bartholomew, the choir will be so happy to meet you,” said Habakuk, the lead vocalist for the Rongo choir. I followed him into the hall where all the choir members were.
Their geekiness was clear enough to my eyes, I wasn’t lost after all. Their eyes moved with every step I made, funny I might admit but I loved every minute of it. Until my gaze fell on her.

Yes, I am Bartholomew,my friends call me Lomew, dark, tall and I hope you guys would add the handsome part for me,I am not so sure, P.S, I’m not that ugly. One would wonder why the hell my parents named me that but I kind of grew to it. Being extreme Catholics, the name seemed just right to them. The story of my life is short and simple, one might add sweet but whatever. Born and raised in Nyamakima. Nothing exciting had happened in my life so I might as well spare us some time get right to it.

“I’d like to introduce Brother Bartholomew to you all” said Habakuk. All that while my eyes were fixed on her,the damsel that was seated just in front of me. I read the name tag,”Bethsheba” which left me wondering why the hell such a bombshell would be referred to as “Bathsheba”. I was expecting more of Sasha or Sparkles just to name a few. Anyway, I scanned her and I swear on my father’s beard that she was the prettiest woman I ever saw. She appeared to be the light in the room with the aura of a red rose billowing around her clothes. I did not pay attention to her beauty, but rather her color, melanin that glew under the dimmed light. Deras never looked so beautiful on a woman. With black hair of wool and her head held high, she sat effortlessly with a circumference that would have made sidika jealous. The shaking of her head as Habakuk continued introducing me added rhythm to the soft classical music that played in my head without pause. Her eyes met mine and she smiled. So beautiful it was like the stars themselves, decided to rest behind the soft cushion of her lips.

READ FROM THE APP

“Hello everyone” I stammered,” Thank you for such a warm welcome, it’s my pleasure to meet you all.” Habakuk winded up the meeting and we were all excused. “Hey, I would love it if you helped me out with the songs y’all sing, that is if you don’t mind” I will never comprehend where the courage to say those words came from as I stared at Bethsheba waiting for her response.”I sure can do that new kid, meet me at my place tonight, here’s the address” she answered as she scribbled down her address on my hand. I admit, I have never been so overwhelmed in my life but it turns out that night would turn out to be the night that introduced me into the so called shaggings.

I showed up at my apartment all excited for my upcoming “date”. “She invited you to her house? At night? Bro you sipping some apple juice tonight!” My roommate Mike was more excited than I was.He suggested I show up formal and simple . So I wore something sober and decent. Black jeans and a light T-shirt slayed with a nice pair of grey yeezys,if I was to impress her I had to go all the way. The fact that I considered that a date sounded peculiar yes but a brother doesn’t dissapoint right? I made it down the long road towards her house. Standing in front of what seemed like Mahogany door, I gave three quick knocks. I’d hate to admit it but my shallow heart sank with anxiety though I politely pulled my grin a little wider than normal, reminding myself that I had to appear cool,it was a tution afterall. The door was finally opened and out came Bethsheba.

Oh my God! The words sprinted through my head, over and over, as I prodded at my lips in assurance I wasn’t dreaming. Or hopping dimensions. Or remembering how I got there in a dramatic crazy way. Or had hours passed, instead? I didn’t know anymore. Time was suddenly contorted. Naked and standing in front of me made me wonder why I wore jeans in the first place,my boner was so evident that anyone could see it a mile away. She opened the door wider and ushered me in. I slithered in sweat dripping down my face, this was the first time I saw an actual woman naked so stop judging. We walked inside, and she shut the door behind us. Then she leaned on the wall and sighed. “How lucky are you?”

To be continued….

How lucky was I? This was a dream I wished I never woke up from. I could see the green leaves on the trees from the window, swaying gently thanks to the campus evening breeze. Chirping birds flew onto the crooked branches, perched and hopped, before flying away again, they’re had the freedom of movement, unlike myself and I, locked down in this apartment with the sexiest woman I ever saw.
“Is he here yet?” A voice came from what I could assume to be the bathroom. Wait a minute! What?! Was there two of them? I turned to catch a woman standing at the bathroom’s doorway and my eyes widened at the sight. As short as she was, she had nothing but a white towel, wrapped loosely around her hair. Her lips were smiling casually at me while her hands had a small towel on her chest, wiping almost vigorously.

My eyes looked down from her face to her now bare chest, and I swallowed hard at the firm dampened circular flesh pointed straight at me. I had just spotted the abs on her abdomen when she said,” Hey there Lomew, welcome to our humble home, I’m Marianna, her sister.” She said as she extended her hand to meet mine. “Ummmmmh, thank you” I stammered as I turned to my side in one swift, away from her chiseled belly, brazilian cut below her waist and those two beautiful legs. I bit my fingers, as I squeezed my legs together in an effort to contain the throb that had begun to pulsate at my now full grown boner. If you thought Bethsheba was a glamour pass, wait till you meet Marriana. I stared as she marvelously walked past us to her bedroom. I turned to meet another of that gender that got Adam exiled from Eden and a smile crossed her face. I moved towards her as she bit her tongue.

I managed to move my hand to rest on her waist and her lips abruptly stopped moving. She turned to look at me just as I pulled her body upwards to be inches away from my face. She stood there, amazed and probably wondering where the courage to suddenly take charge came from,I was shy afterall,I figured that was the reason behind being Bathlomew, dumpness. Back to the story, Her lips were moving as if she was saying something but I was too dazed to comprehend.

Still, I watched her moving lips, full and wide, teeth breaking forth in a smile now and then and I could not take it any longer. My thumb moved against her dimples and we gazed into each other’s eyes with nothing but the hushed sounds of our breathing between us. I melted at this closeness, at this woman, at these beautiful eyes, arresting my very soul. If I was to loose my virginity tonight,it would have been worth.

When her head began to close the distance between us, my eyes instinctively slid shut. Her breath found me first ,minty and fresh, her perfume, stronger now, filled my nostrils, then I felt her lips, soft and warm, touching down on mine, so delicate, like butterfly wings. I felt her tongue tickle mine, and she gasped from suppressed desire,”Oh Lemow, where did you come from you nasty bastard!” Our lips merged and I swum my tongue past her lips into the warm moistness that laid within. Like rippled water, our tongues danced, slowly at first, and then, all at once. I groaned into her mouth and I could only breath, wordlessly as her tongue continued to twirl warmly against mine. I kissed her nose, nibbled down at her upper lip and caressed her entire mouth with mine. The heat rose in my cheeks when I felt my earlobe on another tongue. It swirled across my ears and my mouth opened up wide,Marianna.

To be continued……..

Its been a while since you got that booty call.

A few weeks,maybe.

Wait, months.

Years? What the hell!!

It’s natural to go through a dry spell, whether it’s down to being much too busy for sex, not feeling up for a good fuck, or struggling to find someone who you actually feel comfortable to have sex with (and who wants to have sex with you).

It reachs a point where you genuinely can’t remember what it feels like to have your bum touched, that feeling of being sexually into someone, it’s easy to panic. That feeling that your mjulubeng might be out of service or your cookie might dry up.

The truth is that a sex drought does have an impact on your mental, physical, and sexual state – but it’s not as dire as you might imagine at 2am right before a desperate Porn session to find someone, anyone, to remind you what the touch of another human feels like.

No, your vagina will not shrivel up and die. Your penis will not explode out of unexpressed lust.

You also won’t be ‘revirginised’, and your vagina will not magically tighten due to a lack of sex.The mjulubeng won’t shorten or lengthen.

Going through a sex drought can feel rubbish, especially if you’re not abstaining from sex by choice. Those higher levels of stress will come to the fore, and those having a dry spell may find themselves more sad, tired, and irritable.

It makes you happier, more confident, and smarter.

This isn’t only down to the physical act of rubbing your genitals together, but the emotional connection we feel when having sex with someone we like.

As far as I know no one has died from abstaining from sex but people have died from a lack of emotional and psychological connection.

Having sex with someone with whom you have such a connection is incredibly good for you.

Having skin-on-skin contact is such a good way of connecting emotionally as it echoes the contact we received when we were smaller. A stroke of a cheek or hand from someone who cares about us or loves us is one of the best free medicines on this planet.

A dry spell or kukauka as typical Kenyans call it can leave us feeling disconnected, isolated, and lonely, which isn’t ideal while our stress levels rise and our immune function drops.

But the answer to this isn’t a quick shag with someone we don’t particularly fancy, just to take the edge off. We need that human connection to get all the mental and emotional benefits of sex.
