THREE CROWNS ALREADY AND SHE IS STILL WINNING – MODELING INSIGHTS WITH ESTHER OGINA

Esther Ogina is the real definition of a go getter, if not a focused lady. Her heart is invariably beating fashion and pumping style. She has had three crowns so far and she’s still promising to win even more. Here is her insights about this industry.

Tell us briefly about yourself

I am a 21 year old linguistics student at JOOUST university. I likes travelling, swimming and shopping. I dislike negativity.

What does fashion mean to you?

Fashion is effortless, inner driven and how a person really feels about herself. Lipstick, hair, shoes and clothes texture completely reliant on attitude.

When did you start modelling?

Back in highschool, when competing for miss Boma, at Kenya high school, Form 2.

Who inspires your modelling passion?

People, likes of Kim, Rita Ora, Rihana’s Fenty collection. I would like to establish a big fashion house.

How many crowns have you won so far?

Three so far. Miss JOOUST University. Miss Migosi Kisumu and Miss conference Revival.

Whom do you look upto?

Miss Earth global, for her hear-touching projects.Women leaders in power, Esther Passaris, Julie Gichuru a strong woman. And my parents for being there for the family.

Apart from modelling, what else do you do?

I am the current Finance secretary for the Student union. I have other side Hustles and businesses.I also help run WOSWA, national women forum in my campus.

Have you ever experienced a misshandle in this industry?

Well, I would not really call it a misshandle directly, but Wrong approaches from our environs on the same interest.

What is the Worst rumour you’ve ever heard about modeling?

It’s immoral, (laughs) especially when you rock the beach wear, people think you’re going nude. And also the fact that men think ladies in the industry are complete hustlers.Which is a basic misconception.

Your advice to anyone who is at the verge of giving up in the modeling industry

To not quit or don’t start to quit. It’s promising if you know why you’re in it. Focus or loose.
