Kenyan Hip Hop is broadening it’s hips and breaking it’s voice. It has gone from being good to best, assume the step of being better. With legends such as Khaligraph Jones, Octopizzo, TheBoyBleezy, Madd OG, Phinoshey Elber, Barack Jacuzzi to mention but a few, it’s right in the wits that the Kenyan hip hop gurus are doing their homework pretty well. Kidahl is one among these kings whose name is hitting the headlines in the punchlines breaking news. Let’s hear, in a nutshell, his side of the whisper.

TYM: Describe yourself in Three words

Kidahl: I love singing (chuckles)

TYM: what inspired you?

Kidahl: When I was a child I used to listen to music more than any other thing. So, there is this song i think it’s Beyonce’s, the chorus is [when i grow up i wanna be stars seen on screens..] that motived me to do music

TYM: what are the challenges that you face when you’re on stage?

Kidahl: sometimes I get interrupted by people ending up forgeting the song rhythm.

TYM: if you weren’t rapping, what would you be doing?

Kidahl: Dancing or maybe acting

TYM: Do your parents support your passion?

Kidahl: Yeah my dad really helps me out but my mum, we still got issues. I know she will come around though.

TYM: How long does it take you to compose a complete rap?

Kidahl: I can takes me a day but occasionally it takes me 2 days to complete and rehearse it well.

TYM: whom do you look up to ?

Kidahl: Kidink and Chris Brown

TYM: How long do you take in the washroom?

Kidahl: Not sure but 2 minites maybe.

TYM: which animal describes your music?

Kidahl: Peacock maybe

TYM: Any 2019 plans?

Kidahl: Hope the music works out. At the moment am looking for a good label to sign me in. peaple should anticipate nothing but good music from me.

TYM: Any shout outs

Kidahl: I just what to appreciate the advice dale gave through my time, emmart who helped and understood what I was doing, Dan who alway stood by my side and henry and jason the people i really trust.

Kidahl: I just what people to Appreciate the youth’s talents. From me, people should just watch out for good music and lots of projects. Any good label that is ready to sign me in, I’m supper ready for a chain of success!
