Writing needs more than just motivation. Sometimes words just escapes the pen’s nib leaving your wits dryer than a desert. Then one throws in a wet towel.

Larry Oguda is a writer and a poet well recognised by his pseudonym, LarryThePoet. His writing prowess began budding when he was in highschool, 2015. He scribbled alot to a point that the skill felt innate or rather afflatus.

The 20 year old commenced with short stories, then later ventured into novellas before he dived into contemporary poetry. His writings are well recognised and get extremely spellbinding response from the readers and his myrmidon.

He is ranked 77 out of over 250 other poets on poemia. He avows that his biggest inspiration comes from Mufasa, the renowned poet and spoken word artist, and his sister who is the hardworking ilk. He takes time to master his craft just so to ensure the output is of the desired interest.

Apart from penning , Larry is a second year student at Kisii University pursuing Bsc.Environmental science. A former banking fanatic turned an environmentalist and a writing maverick.

I’M HER FLESH, SHE’S MY BONE

My heart needs someone
It’s my heart she has won
Been thinking of her since one
For me she was born
I’m her flesh she’s my bone
Starring at her is a hobby
Refused to join the lobby
Really worries my hommie

I’m a popstar she’s a superstar
She’s better I like her character
At the full view of the shining star
She whispers in my ears
It’s been so many years
Got the taste of her lips
Saw the curvaceous hips
Willingly my tears roll
My affection I can’t control
