We pollute the atmosphere
We create open dumps and dig quarries
We emmit CFCs and detroy the ozone
We release chemicals to viable water bodies
Yet we say we care her

We shun from green energy
We want to drive petrol cars, guzzlers
We overfish, drive marine life extinct
Plastic and solid waste all over
Factories everywhere, are we saving her?

She feeds us, we pay her not
She cures our thirst, cleanses our oxygen
But what do we give her in return?
We kill her slowly, she is no longer the same
Talk of climate change, our very fault

God gave her to us to take care of
He commanded us to fill her with good
Now all she handles is evil from her care takers
She has mourned for the innocent
She has taken all the blame from the greedy

Please save her
She is the only one we are left with
Because when she falls sick or is gone
We shall suffer and many will die

The ones I loved but never thought of me
How fake tears and love will fill the world
For a moment, it hit me that none of them cared

I saw Abraham by the flock
Job was there living his best life
Elijah was working on his fire chariot wheels
Jesus was telling stories to children

I wandered down to look over the abyss
Dark and bottomless
My feet became heavy, tempted to let me fall
I felt a hand over my shoulder

The voice sounded assuring
Encouraged me to fight on
But another voice distracted me
Come over, stop your misery

My life was over
I was going to give up
I couldn’t hold on anymore
I hope you forgive me

I took the rope, put it around me neck
Took the pills, hang my head

Thinking of how best you are going to convince them
How you are going to prove to them you mean it
Ignored the signs because you thought they were perfect

You always wanted them for you, only you
You did not mind the toxic traits,you knew
You knew that deep down they were angelic
The infatuation blinded you

Now you feel rejected, they haven’t smiled back
You feel like they only deserve you
That you are the best match for them
And you forget no one is perfect

Now you are living in misery
You forced yourself on them
Now they are treating you like trash

You already connected, that’s what you ever wanted
You feel like you made a mistake

Because you are now unwanted

You are not rejected, you are dejected
You only convinced your mind its them you needed
